The University of Auckland has long been a place where knowledge, achievement, and community intertwine. Flame Tree was born from these same roots: a university-owned catering company, operated in partnership with Montana Group, that brings people together through good food and shared purpose.

Our identity draws inspiration from the Flame Tree that is situated in front of Old Government House on the University of Auckland City campus. A tree known for its crimson blossoms that symbolise passion, resilience, and life.

The tree’s fiery canopy inspires our commitment: to ignite moments of excellence through food, to nourish connection, and to celebrate the vibrant diversity that defines the university.

Flame Tree is the University of Auckland’s on-site caterer, proudly partnering since 2014.

We can cater to any faculty or department across the University of Auckland, with multiple kitchens and cafes conveniently located on campus.

We can also provide catering to any event in the Auckland region.
