Sustainability in action
At Flame Tree we are always evolving and looking for new ways to be innovative. We have a number of key initiatives to reduce our environmental footprint and will continue to work with the University of Auckland towards a more sustainable future.
Minimising waste
We minimise waste through careful planning and divert food waste from landfill to an MPI-accredited piggery.
Our offices follow a 'reduce, reuse, recycle' policy, and we use reusable wooden boxes to minimise single-use packaging.
Supporting local, quality produce
We source ingredients from local suppliers wherever possible, celebrating fresh, whole foods that retain their nutritional qualities.
Our motto "real chefs cooking real food" reflects our commitment to quality New Zealand produce.
Encouraging sustainable choices
We use compostable packaging for disposable items and actively promote reusable crockery to our clients.
Working closely with the University of Auckland Sustainability Department, we continually explore initiatives that empower our community to make environmentally conscious catering choices.
Plant-based menu
We are committed to serving delicious, nutritious meals that support mindful eating. Our plant-based menu has been carefully curated to offer a variety of flavourful, satisfying dishes made entirely from plant-based ingredients. Whether you follow a plant-based lifestyle or simply want to include more plant-forward meals in your diet, this menu provides wholesome options that don’t compromise on taste.
By choosing from this menu, you are making a conscious choice to enjoy meals that are both nourishing for your body and delicious. Our menu showcases just how enjoyable plant-based eating can be, without compromising on flavour or variety.
We want to hear from you about how we can improve our sustainable thinking.
